who wants to help?
i need a wiring diagram made up. i'm completely confident in my ability to actually wire stuff up... as long as i know i'm doing it right.
i've got a MTX TA7804 amp -4 channel -class a/b -Remote Subwoofer Level Control Parallelable -100w x 4 at 4 ohm -200w x 4 at 2 ohm -400w x 2 at 4 bridged -800w x 1 at 2 bridged MTX 81001 amp -class D 1 channel -500w at 4 ohm -1000w at 2 ohm -1500w at 1 ohm -Remote Subwoofer Level Control Parallelable audiobahn flame excursion 10" woofer -450 rms -2" single coil 4 ohm 2x pioneer 6x9's, don't have any specs off the top of my head, or a model # i'm currently looking for a deck with all the hookups to make this easy. what should i look for in a deck (will probably buy used)? do i need a cap? i'm not looking for thumping bass, just a little bit of filler. do i need the D block or can i run the sub and 2 6x9's through the same amp? who wants to tell me how to wire it so i can draw up a diagram, or who wants to help? thanks mitch

Re: who wants to help?
me thinks that ACEX is just messin' with you. I think the 4 channel Amp will be enough power to get you sound. get a deck that has atleast 2 sets of preouts. Good luck with you audio project.

Re: who wants to help?
hopefully it's enough power, i think it should be. the 6x9's hit plenty hard for me in such a small cab. i'm not looking to roll around and bump, just get some decent quality sound with some bass to fill. i HATE it when people drive around and blast rap or some stupid **** with their sub rattling their car apart

Re: who wants to help?
Those 6x9 speakers aren't gooing to soudn worth a crap...
A 6x9 just produces too much low-end for what you want and have going in. You need something small to help out the mid and upper range otherwise it will be just pretty much bass. Look into some 5.25" speakers in order to get better quality. I would use the 4ch to run the 6x9's and a set of 5.25" components. Then I would use the monoblock to power the sub. I would also grab a high-output alternator to provide some extra juice, because those amps are going to draw alot of power when they start producing... (I tend to go overkill on alot of things, so take everything I say with a grain of salt...) At the very least, I would snatch of some 5.25" coaxials and run them off the 4ch amp along with the 6x9's. This would give you the best sound quality at a resonable price. You could also add the sub and monoblock amp to the mix in order to get the low-range that you want. If you don't want to go out and find any additional speakers, then use the 4ch amp and run it as a 2ch and power the 6x9's and the sub.

Re: who wants to help?
that last one was what i was planning on
what i might do is just put in my deck and new amp and save the sub for later, maybe get another amp and some 525's at the same time

Re: who wants to help?
Yeah, for now, just go with the deck, 4ch amp, and the 6x9's. Wait until you have a little more money, then get the 5.25" speakers. You'll be much happier, I promise.
