Hydro Assist steering

I am close to purchasing a hydro assist system for my K-5, I am getting tired of having pump issues. I just replaced the pump again and this one doesn't want to steer when it gets hot. I am leaning towards the PSC kit but I was wondering if it would be more cost effective to piece together my own set up, I have seen some web sites that sell the rams and you can buy the pumps and boxes separatley to come up with your own combination. I also know that normaly the kits are priced better. Any recommendations?

Re: Hydro Assist steering

I have the PSC kit, I have not ran it yet as I am still installing but I wanted to say was that I too thought about piecing it togeather but having parts that match and are made to work togeather is what sold me on spending a few extra bucks and getting the PSC stuff..kinda like when building an engine you want each part to complement the next one.
