Newbie here! Check out my project!

New to this forum (but not 67-72 trucks) Just wanted to say hi and get a lil feedback about my latest project. I bought it over ebay a few months ago and was told it was straight and rust free. Ha! It now has new rocker panels, cab corners, cab supports, fenders, hood, tailgate ect... I have also shaved the marker lights, stake pockets and fuel filler. Front and rear rollpans are on and moldeled in. I have about two weeks left until it is back from paint. I have my wheels already (i own a couple of tire shops in northern colorado) and a TBI 350/4l60 ready to go in, power disck brakes, power steering, oh and a 3/4 drop. I know im missing something, but let me know what you think, remember- it is a work in progress! The first pic is when I picked it up- Ill post some more as soon as its done at paint!

Re: Newbie here! Check out my project!

Welcome to the Board! There is a ton of knowledge to be had from this forum!

Love the wheels, are they six lug by chance? From the photos of the truck it looks like it might be a 6 lugger.

Re: Newbie here! Check out my project!

Yes they are six lug. The truck is a 70 but I put a 67-68 front clip on it. Im getting antsy because I have a shop full of parts (pwr brakes, pwr steering, drop it, fuel injected 350 ect) waiting to go in!

Wow really? I'm looking for 6 lug myself and I'm liking that new set you have! Do they make them in different widths/backspacing in 6 lug? And where can get a set?

Re: Newbie here! Check out my project!

The backspacing is pretty limited in the 20". I didnt want to go too wide so they work perfect for me. Any KMC wheel dealer can get em for you- I had to have this wheel because the whole plan of the truck is to moderenize and these wheels are like the crager ss only newer looking! Be prepared for sticker shock!
