LS-2 or big block
I am thinking about selling my FI 383 and building a supercharged LS2 or a stroked big block. Has any one here done an LS conversion, I know Billy Jo has the Supercharged LS but haven't seem him around here in a while. Any one else done this?

Re: LS-2 or big block
I have a 5.3 in mine. As high as gas is getting I would recommend some sort of gen III. I plan on a 408 stroker with a kenne bell for my 2wd.

The boys over at www.PacificFab.net do this alot..ofcorse they are in California so that prolly doesn't help you much.
I love my 454 with Edelbrock's MPFI Pro-Flow...AWESOME!

Re: LS-2 or big block
Everyone brings up gas mileage but I think as long as it's a toy, who cares about economy. Personally i'd go with big block, no replacement for displacement. Actually the main reason i'd go big block is because it's easier ( and I still think you would make a ton more torque )

Re: LS-2 or big block
Ive got a built 454, AFR heads, F2R blower... But an LS4 (all aluminum) with a centrifigal blower would make gobs of power and handle too. My BB will make 1000hp, but it isnt a balerina.

Re: LS-2 or big block
Yeah,I agree with all the responses, I am torn, the big block would probably be cheaper as well. I am not really worried about gas milage because its not a daily driver.

Re: LS-2 or big block
gen III is here, but whats after this? I thihk there's no replacement for a 454 BB those animals really got some hue0v0s, if you're looking for gas mileage you're at the wrong place, there's nothing like a muscle machine ! here in L.A. we are paying almost $4 per g. and that doesnt stop me from my 2WD blazer 454 BB project !

Re: LS-2 or big block
I never did a LS-2 swap but I did have a Z-28 Camaro with a LS-1 in it and I would have to say it was one of the fastest cars I ever had. So I'm sure the LS-2 with it's 400 stock hp. would make a great swop for anyones ride not to mention the light weight.
