I know this is the wrong year but....

I had to post this here. This kit is available from Stylin Concepts for 88-98 pickups. Turns them into 60's style trucks, for only $5000.00. Just thought it was interesting, and disturbing.

Re: I know this is the wrong year but....

Hmm very odd, it would be better if the kit were like the fiberglass ones. Like the ones making an s10 into a 49 studebacker Now thats cool. Awsome looks with a computerized better gas milage system.

the bottom one looks OK, but nothing beats a rolls royce hood on a VW beetle to me , COOOL
second place goes to the 90's T-bird into a 50 ford- where's my PUKE icon.

Todays super adhesives are as strong as welds are and there may be a pop rivet here and there as well.

The aerospace industry has been using super exoxy glues to assemble aircraft since the 60's!.......Bet cha didn't know that!

As for the truck kit's i dont like them at all.

Re: I know this is the wrong year but....

Aside from the 67-72 bodystyle, the 88-98 chevy/GMC bodystyles is one of the best body styles ever IMO. Why do people want to go screw that up?

OK here's the plan. If you want a 47-53 truck, go buy one. If you want a 60-66 truck, go buy one. If you want an 88-98 truck, go buy one, but leave em what they are. You can modify them into something extraordinary, but don't try to make em what they're not.

Sorry to rant.

Re: I know this is the wrong year but....

That`s what I was going to say.The`88-98s are nice looking trucks and have been an instant favorite with truck builders. If you want a`60-66,get one and have the real thing.Shouldn`t be hard to find a good one for what this kit costs on top of the 88-98 cost just to end up lame.
