Question Fender removal

I seem to be unhappy with a simple engine rebuild that I have to completely redo the engine bay!
I got the Rust Bullet Friday, thinking I’m just going to paint the “A” arms and the frame. BUT NOOOO, I have to remove the wiring harness so it's out of the way, the grill was next because I don’t want overspray on it etc etc.
I decided to have the hinges powder coated, and while I’m at it, I thought I’ll have the radiator support done!
So fender removal, is it just these bolts w/shims? Anything I need to be aware of? Any reason I shouldn’t remove these fenders?
Also, thinking of removing the heater core too, is this hard? Basically, I want to remove the outer shell on the fire wall. Is it just the exterior bolts for this?

Thanks,
s/t

Re: Fender removal

S/T IMHO you will be just fine.

You seem to think things through before you tackel them and you have the source for info if you run into trouble.

Ya might as well do it now while you are in there.

Mark all shims where they came from and such so you can put them back the same and just go slow and easy. Don't get in a hurry.

Like I said you will be fine, and happier in the end if you do it now.

Re: Fender removal

Never had mine off YET but, if you have the fenders off I think I recall reading that it's pretty straight forward. From what I can see it is my fenders are off now

Anyone else? Someone will chime in.

I’m thinking, while I’m there I’ll just put a new heater core in.
It never ends!

Re: Fender removal

I know for the cost I would but theirs no telling if the new one will last any longer than the one thats in there now.

AND YES there does have to be a point where you say enough is enough. or you might as well do a complete frame off and do it all

It’s ony a few more bolts from becoming a frame off resto!
The cab would be the hardest to remove, and just think the pregnant wife was complaining the hood was too heavy!
