Lowered 72' GMC with 20's

Just thought I'd share some pics of my uncles truck. The bodywork is almost 12 yrs. old now. He just slapped on some 20's with 255/70r20 in the rear and 255/60r20 in the front. I just sold him some drop springs off the parts truck. He's got 3" drop spindles and 2" drop coils in the front now. He had 4" drop leafs custom made for the rear and he's going to get 5" drop leafs made. The rake is a little too much for me too.

There's no rubbing or clearance problems but he still needs a sway bar so I think I'll get him one off a 73-87 3/4 ton. Should we just bolt the sway bar to the frame or look into the mounts for lowered applications?

It looks good, but yeah it could use a bit more drop in the rear.

It's your call about mounting the sway bar. Either way will work...

You know perhaps I'll double check on that.

Is the paint almost 20 years old? Cuz I think that is back in style now! Very good looking truck, but I also agree it could use a little less rake.

Re: Lowered 72' GMC with 20's

The tires are actually 255/40r20 and 255/35r20. He's gettin the rear lowered another 1.5" and that should even things out a lil bit. He's actually thinking of using the same colors and doing another two tone with flames seperating. The only visable rust is on the bed floor b/c when he did the truck there were no patch panels. It has a toneau cover but he want's me to make him a wood bed b/c I have two decent lwb beds with the wood. I'll probably post some more pics saturday afternoon.

These aren't the best pictures but here it is. Now the trucks been lowered another 1-1/2" in the rear.
