A/C Pics for Killer71
Killer71 was wanting some detailed pics of my A/C set-up, so here goes ....
Firewall bulkhead is Billet Specialties, not sure what brand the A/C unit is ( got it from a friend who took it out of a street rod he traded for and is less than 1 year old and I got it ALL for $50.00 ) As you can see I routed the hoses over the inner fenders and under the outer fender to hide them, they also run under the battery tray. I used the "crimp-on" ends for the heater hoses for a cleaner look. The controls I got from Coyote Rodders ( in Ft.Ogelthorpe Ga.) and use electric solenoids to regulate the heat. I had to assemble this quickly to drive it and have new heater hoses with "crimp-on" ends for the inside and am going to move the water shut-off ( to hide it ) when I re-do the truck. This is a factory A/C truck and I just made plates and welded up the holes ( 16ga galvanized steel ). The condenser is the factory unit with a new dryer. The A/C and Alternator brackets are Alan Grove parts, everything works great with no problems. Hope this info helps Killer71 and anyone els who is interested. |
