Fuel hose size
I have a rubber fuel hose right now (bad) and I just wanted to make sure that 3/8" is the standard size? I have a 4 barrel 600cfm Holley. Also is Summit the best place to buy steel fuel hoses?

Re: Fuel hose size
I have the Blazer tank conversion and I ran 3/8" stainless from the tank to the fuel pump. Bought it from Summit.

Re: Fuel hose size
i'd check with your local autoparts store for steel lines if you want a basic no frills cheap(less than half the price) fuel line and fittings without having to pay shipping/ you'll need a flaring tool for the fittings

Re: Fuel hose size
If I take out my hose and down to an auto store to match the length and fittings do I have to plug anything up on the truck to avoid leaking?

Re: Fuel hose size
Unless you own a oil well try to keep the gold in the tank with a plug. Depending on how much gold is in your tank.

Re: Fuel hose size
I didn't use "flex" / braided line, I used hard line 3/8" Stainless ... flared the ends and used rubber hose to connect tank to hard lines and then another short piece of rubber hose to connect hard line to the fuel pump. I spliced it right under the cab and put in a late model fuel filter ... had to buy fittings for that, but no other fittings used.
