Do both ball joints come out the top
Hey Y'all. I just pull out my right side ball joints. One was so loose it moved about 1" and a half. Now the other one is still good but since I’m in there I want to replace both of them. The bottom one came out with 3 hit of a small hammer. My question is does the top one come out the same way? What I mean is does it come out the top in the same direction as the bottom one. I don't want to beat the crap out of it going in the wrong direction.
Thanks Bill

>hmmm...I think your looking at it wrong. The top ball joint is not pressed in it's rivited in. They have to be removed I.E. ground off to get the top ball joint out/off.

Re: Do both ball joints come out the top
It's a 4x4 they are press in and they do come out the top. To get the bottom one out I need the press it up towards the top ball joint and the top was the same way. I know because I bought a press today and it came out in less than 10 seconds. Before that I spent hours beating it and calling it every name in the book.
