Tubular a arms?? Do they perform???
I am beating my head wondering which way to go on the front suspension on my blazer. I have been thinking about doing the C4 swap and also going totaly tubular. Will I be happy with strong arms for the performance gain or is there any performance gain. I know tubular arms help with the angles on a slammed truck but do you gain any handling out of them? What if you went with tubular arms and installed a rack? I want to move my crossmember foward about 1.5" so I am going to have to do something with the steering anyways so I would go on a fabricate a rack in there anyways and do away with the old steering setup anyways. And if I go with the C4 stuff I will have to run adapters for my wheels or buy 2 front wheels which will cost my ass. What you guys think??????

Just do the standard dropmember. Moves the CL forward, uses a rack and is made for the ART arms with your spindles. Cheap(ish) and easy., and all the thinking is done for you.

Re: Tubular a arms?? Do they perform???
There will be a gain with tubular arms but I don't think you will be able to tell. With the tubular arms though you gain a little more clearance under the truck and they arms made for a lowered suspension so (I think) they will correct some of the suspension geometry of a lowered vehicle. But the biggest plus is that they just look bad ass. They are not a absolute necessity though for ridding low. Like Mr. LOCO said though with the dropmember you will have what you are wanting and you can switch to tubular arms at a later time, you know when the budget comes back up. LOL
I am going to do the same with my 65. I want to add the drop member but I cant seem to find a pick of a 65 at ride height. Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 05-18-2007 at 03:40 PM. |
