just redoing an old grille and wondering how it should be painted around the headlights. i see the repops are painted all the way to the bezel but my original only appears to have a stripe in the indent. truck is a 1971. also should it be gloss or semi-gloss?? any help appreciated. Thanks, Devin

Not sure I follow where the stripe is, I didn't re-do mine, but here's apicture that show's some black rubber/vinyle around the headlight bezels.

Not sure, both my 71 & my 72 had the black as you mentioned on just the indent but I've seen pics of some other untouched trucks that seem to have the paint all the way up to the bezels...

Semi-gloss would be the sheen you want. I usually have good luck with Rustoleum's "Painters Touch" Semi-gloss.
