Acrophobic clutch pedal.

The clutch pedal in my 78 c10 doesn't want to come back up after being depressed all the way to the floor. Everything works fine and it runs & drives great but if I push it all the way to the floor sometimes I have to put my toe under and pull it up a little bit to get it to pop back up. Dead pressure plate?

Re: Acrophobic clutch pedal.

The problem you describe sounds like your linkage is binding. Have an assistant do the pedal (engine off, brake set, trans in neutral), while you watch the linkage.
There are 2 springs, one under the dash, and one under the truck, near the bellhousing. The spring under the dash is the heavy spring that returns the pedal.
