Ball joint bushings

Hey guys, I gotta replace my ball joint bushings, on the upper + lower control arm, and the steering tie rod. is there a place where I can just buy new bushings or do I need to buy the whole ball joint assembly?

Re: Ball joint bushings

No such thing as ball joint bushings. You have to replace the whole ball joint as an assembly.

The parts I am talking about are the rubber things on the ball joints.

That's just the grease cups. Yes, you can buy those separate.

Re: Ball joint bushings

you have to unbolt the ball joint it sets in there . Frankly if its an original ball joint id just replace the whole thing you have to chop out the rivets and then replace the rivets with nuts and bolts

Re: Ball joint bushings

Rc 415 -

You might try the 'HELP' section at the local auto parts chain stores. I've bought some tie rod end boots from there. I'm not sure, but I thought I've seen ball joint boots there. But, I'm not sure.
