Does anyone know why?

can anyone tell me what might be causing my wifes truck to be lower on one side? is the shocks bad? look at the rear fender wells over the tires. you can see a difference and really see it when it is on a flat surface.
also by looking at it can someone tell me what they might think, how much has it been lowered in front and rear?
do i need to pull out springs and see? are springs usually marked what they are? drop wise.

thanks in advanced

Re: Does anyone know why?

My first guess would be that your coil spring is collapsed... It's pretty common. A set of drop springs should take care of the lean! As for height... find a pic of a truck you like and we can tell you how much we think it has been lowered.

porterbuilt.
it has front and rear drop springs in it already. sorry forgot to mention that.
if it helps, they are blue in color. i know by looking at them that they are aftermarket and not stock springs.

Re: Does anyone know why?

Measure the spring installed from the trailing arm to the frame. It could still be a collapsed spring, or one could be mounted slightly different.

Re: Does anyone know why?

the first thing to measure is the frame height from side to side// its hard to say but in the pics it looks more like the bed is out of shape

Re: Does anyone know why?

It could be the bed and it could be a spring. I would look at the passenger side front coil first though. If they were cut coils to lower it, then that may be the problem. If they are not cut, but an aftermarket coil, then look to see if they are sitting in the perches correctly. If one is not seated in correctly it could raise one higher than the other. If that is the case it would be the front driver side. Also check the bed underneath to make sure there are the same shims at every bolt. Then check the rear springs in relationship to the axle to make sure something is not out of kilter there.
