installing floor shifter
i am installing a floor shifter tomorrow and was wondering what kind of saw i should use to cut the hole? i currently do not have my air compressor hooked up, so any air tools are out.

Could just drill out a hole for a starting point, then cut out whatever shape you need with a jigsaw.

yea, the directions say to first drill a hole, then make it about 2.5 inches in diameter. i guess i should pick up some metal blades if i use the jigsaw.

2-1/2" holesaw would work too.

First check under the truck to see if there is anything in the way that you may drill into.Don't ask how I know this.

You can also get some nice cuts using a grinder, but it takes longer and be real careful it doesn't get "stuck" on you. I drilled holes in all 4 corners first for a clean cut.
