Had some free time a couple days ago, went to a local u pullit. I was actually going to get some longer bolts for smog delete pulley, I see an 83 blazer w/ sport bumper, called a friend, he said they will fit, I was not sure, they are just the outside brackets.
I run home, get my tools and go back. I got the bumper bolts off and the fill plate bolts off, but the bracket bolts were so rusted on, I doused them good with some lube.
I go back today, the bolts are like butter coming off, brackets are in great shape, no rust at all. I went ahead and got the license plate frame also.
Too bad the bumper had a dent in it, a small dent would not be bad, but it was a little more than I wanted to wrestle with.
Anyway, $11.00 poorer and I got some brackets.
I'm happy.
Sorry, no pics, wife took my camera to disney with the kids this weekend.
Maybe I'll dig out the old fuji and snap a few later.

sounds like a great deal. we are getting a u pull it in montgomery. they are getting ready to open in the next few months. by the way it was nice to meet you and your wife last weekend and thanks for the deal on the wheels. joe

I got lucky at the upullit...most of the 7-80's trucks are stripped, this blazer even had a good top! I was also on the hunt for a 90-91 burb guage cluster, no luck, needing the electronic speedo.
post some update pics of the crewcab, dying to see it!
