these trucks don't need vacuum gauges cause they don't suck!
two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get
it's better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6

That's the same as a late model stereo isn't it?
At least it was done nice and neat. Would be easy to repair really.

That's an awful nice Big Block truck for the money, heck, I'd buy it & fill that hole with a nice big touch screen DVD/navigation system or hang a picture of my kid there to cover the hole.

Looks like someone had one of those din and a half decks in there. At least the cuts look straight.

Re: ever seen a dash hand grenaded this bad?

you should have seen what the PO did to my last truck, cut in gauges all over the place and a nice jagged rectangle hole for an old cadillac cruise controll (didn't work)

Was at the Yota lot the other day, wife's looking for a New SUV, and a
guy rolled by in a Sequoya? Limited, what she wants btw, and he blew
the horn. Salesman asked if I knew them. I said no, he said they trade
ever 2 years, they are so upside down that there payment on it was....

$965 for 84 months, Wtf? that is like $81K on a $45K SUV

Re: ever seen a dash hand grenaded this bad?

man, i was at the junkyard today getting relays for my headlight-relay install (thanks to TxFirefighter for the thread and 92-94 Mopar suggestion!). While there, i strolled by one of the only 67-72 trucks on the lot, and it was a big block CST, 1970 I think, lots of options on the glovebox...man, you talk about looking like a grenade hit it...it looked like someone either blew a hole in the stereo opening with a sawed-off shotgun, or just took an industrial jackhammer to it. i saw it and had to stand there for a sec trying to take it all in.

Re: ever seen a dash hand grenaded this bad?

You haven't seen mine. That is at least a clean cut. Mine looks like is was cut with a pair of vise grips.

I'll get a better shot some day, but can you see the metal pulled out on the driver side?

<edit> I have no idea how the gauge bezel got smashed in, but luckily I have another. I just have to do some metal work.

Thanks...Looks a lot better, I hate it when PO's think they need a jack hammer or air chisel to make room for a DIN stereo
