Are these factory emblems?

Went to an old farm today and found a 68 GMC sittin in the bush had some emblems on the door. Just wondering if these are factory emblems or what? Woulda took more pics but my camera went dead. BTW the truck also had a vinyl top?

The vin came back from being built in the Oshawaw plant, but the glovebox decal was too faded to read.

Re: Are these factory emblems?

Heres the Vin of the door jamb of the truck, C9E1481118168. What's with the second number being 9? There is another truck in the same yard, Vin C9S2471115352, again with the 9?

Re: Are these factory emblems?

The flag emblem was also on the 1965 and 1966 Impalas. The custom emblem is factory for the truck, though.

I'd like to see the vinyl top. Was it one of those factory spray-on jobs, or was it an actual vinyl someone put on?

Re: Are these factory emblems?

the vinal top.... if it was a spray on deal, that was a dealer installed accesory, there will be no documentation of it on the SPID sheet nor build sheet. They came in black or white, and was basicly undercoating... or spray on bedliner applied to teh cab roof. There's a board member here with e red 4X4 that has his like that, still original too.
