will all the factory seats bolt right in any 67-72 that had a bench seat in it? I found one for a 68, that I'm considering buying & gettting re-done/Upholstered. Here's what it looks like. I want it to bolt right in my 71 C-10

I believe so, but I'd grab a tape measure just to be sure. Even if it didn't it's pretty easy just to drill new holes and make a bracket under the cab using steel from Lowe's or Home Depot.

I hear ya, unfortunatley I don't have much for tools, no welder ect. (bad divorce, all my good stuff turned up missing)

Man, I was just talking to another board member about this two weeks ago (nickname: uncle). He had a bucket floor and bench floor he showed me, and I cannot remember if there were differences or not

I think the 67-68 buddy buckets will bolt in. The 69-72 seats require more holes be drilled. ttt so someone that has done it can comment.

I hope someone knows the answer, the seat is about 4 hours away & I don't want to travel that far not knowing what I'm getting into.

I agree with john... I think they'll bolt right in, but I am not quite sure.
Even if you get them and they don't bolt right in, you could always borrow a cordles drill and a 3/8 bit off of almost anyone.
I say jump.

Yep, no welder is needed just a drill, and a saw to cut the steel you buy at Home Depot, a jigsaw works perfect. Here's the link to pics of my bracket

Mine bolted right in the stock holes.

Hey bcanini, those look great in there, so? Are all 3 seats mounted on the same frame? so it bolts into the 4 stock holes like a bensh seat would? I keep seeing this seat that looks just like yours listed for a 68 chevy truck, but mine is a 71, so is there a difference in the mounting locations from 68-71? Anybody know? This seat is a long ways a way & it needs alot of Love, I don't want to make another seat mistake.

I swapped several of these and they bolt right in, check the picture of the bracket, it has the same mounting holes as your bench tracks. The upholstery on the one you're looking at doesn't appear to be GM. Dodge had a similar buddy bucket setup. Can you get a picture and measurements from the seller? That would be my main concern.

They'll bolt right in. I did this on my 69 Burb. You will have to drill one hole for the center bracket, other than that it is a direct swap. Here's some pictures of min:

I didn't have any probs at all mounting to the same mounting holes as my old bench went right in. Mine is also a 71 and yes they're all mounted on the frame and the frame is mounted to the stock mounting holes.

Hey thanks for all the info you guys, I really apprecitate it, an upholsterer friend of mine is telling me that the foam looks bad enough to have to be replaced, & probably the springs too, so now I'm not sure if I'm gonna bothre with that seat, the whole point of buying one that beat up was low initial cost, but now he's telling me what it cost's to get one built up as nice as Hartrod's, scared the Heck out of me. Hart, your seats really look nice.

not to be jerk, but FYI there are 4 stock LOCATIONS, there are TWO bolt holes per location equalling 8 bolts all together. SAFETY first, put all 8 bolts in. Good luck on your swap.

my present bench seat only had 4 mounting holes, I could see 8 holes for bucket seats, but a bench seat usually only has 4 holes doesn't it?

could someone posts measurements of the chevy seats. I'm getting ready to get some and I want to make sure that they are chevy first. The seats that i'm looking at has a sticker in the metal box that has the chevy bowtie and i jack instructions. If someone will post the measurements it would help us out a great deal....also about how much should i expect to pay to get them reupholstered?
