Goodbye Hugger Orange
Hey guys, it's been a productive weekend on the 69....I shot my first paint I am a rookie and hey no runs, drips or errors! Body work and paint are a different animal for sure, I am used to mechanics and making things go fast.....so what a relief when I stood back and looked at my handi-work. I am not an orange guy so when I chose "Moss Green Opal" for my Blazer I was very apprehensive on how it would look....,my opinion? IT ROCKS!!!
The color is similar to the stock olive color but a little darker and more metallic... It's a 2006 Subaru Outback color and dang if I don't like it...you can see it on the two tone green outbacks driving around. I will do my top and roll bar on the darker green and the interior is going to be saddle and tan..... anyway the pictures don't do it justice.....thought I would share... Re: Goodbye Hugger Orange
Yep its me!, was wondering if you would recognize the avatar.
I love the Jimmy....Im excited to get to the body and paint myself. Been so busy moving Ive put her off too long! So far ive just tinker'd with it and cruised around. Need to fix some leaks. I did score an original 71 back seat for $40 bucks that just needs re-upholsterd. Need to have a spot for kids to ride... Your rig is looking good and clean, and I like the Green. Gives it a military feel

Re: Goodbye Hugger Orange
I love that green!!! I think that it's the perfect color for a blazer. I was thinking about doing some kind of modern green on the C/10. Awesome job bro!

Re: Goodbye Hugger Orange
I really wanted to get the firewall done first so I could get the drive train, brakes, etc. back in so it was driveable...a rolling chasis is a pain when you need to move it around...my next step is to do the interior bed sides dash and floor boards done so I can get the dash back together, brown bread or dynamat on the floor and the interior done at least to the point of drivable.

Re: Goodbye Hugger Orange
Sweet. Maybe we could have switched bodies. I'm taking my green one and going to paint it orange...
