Re: Paint Job Prices

Mine was $7,000 about 8 years ago.
Minor body work. Rust in the floor, and had a new bed plate welded in. Did have a few mods done to it. The prep work was extensive though, and it was taken apart and put back together. It's painted inside and out.

Re: Paint Job Prices

What the old saying? If you have to ask, you can not afford it. I had my motor out and parts lined up for the painter. I knew him when he first started painting. He had painted several of my friends cars 68, 69 camaros, and novas. He does excellent work.

Something told me to talk to him before he started. I am glad I did, because he could not give me a price. He told me it could be from $3500 to $8500 for the paint and body work. If he would have told me $4000.00, I would have my truck in the shop now. That price range scared me off. But from what I have been told, he has started to scare a lot of people off.

Here is one of the cars that he painted.

If anyone in West Tenn wants his number, send me a PM. He works on 1 car. If I did not have to pay for my wife to go to college, and 3 kids that eat, I would have him paint my car.

the hard part of ANY paint job is getting the money to buy the material !!!
after that it's a cake walk.
