Had a arguement with a junkyard owner today

So,I went to the junkyard today.I walked in the office, which btw smelled like cig. smoke so bad I couldn't stand to be in there.I tell the guy I'm looking for some parts for my 71 chevy truck. He asks what.I say that I am trying to locate a tilt steering column for it.He says they didn't make them back then.Well, the next thing I said was "I beg to differ" He still doesn't believe me.I said yes some did have them and they were all black not the color of the trucks. So,he asks me stick or auto?,power glide or turbo 350.I said turbo 350.He types it in the computer and to his amazement, they did make tilt columns back then Didn't I just say that? He says $75 a column. But then he says you will have to look next week,I have to go get my truck right now. So,I just left. So,hopefully next week I go back and get some parts and maybe prove him wrong again.I don't know. So,I went to the next junkyard.I didn't have my tools to remove the parts I wanted so I will have to go back.I did find a good 71-72 grill and a good bench seat.I think I also seen some black seat belts too.

Re: Had a arguement with a junkyard owner today

I had an argument with a guy in O'Reilly's one day about the original 4 door 72 suburban. I got tired of arguing with him that there were no 4 doors made until 73. MORON!!!!!!!

Good luck on the tilt
