Chevelle boards out there(?)

The wife has given me the challenge to find her a nice, fast classic muscle car and I've got about a year to get the job done. She wants for her 40th b-day.

We haggled long and hard over the car to get, me leaning towards the first gen Camaro's or a Cobra kit car and her, well, saying nope. She's a Mustang fan from way back but to get a fastback will pretty much break the bank. And I am pretty partial to the Chevys and want a rag-top.

So we compromised on a Chevelle.

A quick search of the net yeilded little in the area of message boards / sites like this. So I thought I would ask you all if you know of any good Chevelle boards? Let me know, and thanks!

Great choice on a car. My wife wants a 70-72 Chevelle. I told her when i get my truck 75% done. Then we will get her a chevelle. I already have started buying parts for her car. Maybe someday the car will come.

I think the Chevelles are pretty high too, especially if you want a convertible. Either way it’s going to be a nice car.
Good luck.

Just for kicks and giggles, check the 1965 For Sale section..........for a mear $239,000 you can get her a slightly used Z-16 chevelle........

all kidding aside, sounds like a good plan you have to get her a car;
my daughter's significant other has a 69 SS that he has totally done from ground up; the car belonged to his uncle and he has owned it for 15 years;
he even comes by and let's me drool on it every once and a while;
I sold my 70 SS 27 years ago when my daughter was born and gas started to get pricey

Well, yes she does have a sister, but she's engaged. But hard to live up to my wife. A few things she likes:
  • Huge baseball fan. We have the MLB ticket (DirecTV) and love to vacation just to see MLB games
  • Huge football fan...she wants more season tickets to our favorite team (already have 4)
  • Likes hockey games...but just for the fights
  • Consistently beats me in March Madness pool...although she has no idea what the heck is going on...lucky
  • Likes old, fast cars (as stated before)
  • Not big fan of "chick-flicks" (nice)
  • Not afraid to talk smack with the guys
  • Wonderful wife to our two daughters
  • Did I mention she's a doctor?

My saying is, "I really outkicked my coverage" when it comes to landing such a wonderful wife. I'd post a picture, but if you saw her and read the list above you would probably drive here and punch me right in the face. I'm indeed the luckiest man alive!
