replacement rocker quality ?

I'll try this on this board because it seems like everyone roams here and not paint and body. These are Triplus rockers do all the brands have these lines on them from the bender? This is the part you would step on. I'm curious what the other brands look like.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

mine are perfectly smooth, but i got them from certifit...

light skimming of body filler, or a couple coats of primer, and i doubt you'd even know those lines were there

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

I`ve never seen that on Tri-Plus rockers.Must have been a bad run. From all I know,Tri-Plus is the best rocker you can get.Definately heavier.

Mine are the same way, and I have 2 sets just alike. Sucks don't it? Get a new part to avoid more work and end up with more work than you hoped for

Yep, Mine have the same. From Triplus too. I don't think it's a big issue personally.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

I have Tabco patch panels on my trucks and love them! Never had any problems with them.Made in the USA too! That's the only company I will use for body panel replacement.
Those rockers don't look to bad though, they can be fixed.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

I was just looking at some compared to thers and all I noticed was how much nicer the Tri-Plus were.I wouldn`t want to have bondo in a wear area like that.I`ll have make sure to only buy ones I`m holding.I`ve only used GM parts before.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

It is an easy fix but if Triplus makes Goodmark I'm suprised Goodmark would approve. This is the main part of the rocker you see.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

Goodmark quality is a joke---they just repackage and add a premium. Aftermarket rockers tend to be about 1/4 inch shorter too so when you install, tack first then close the doors to make sure you have the proper clearance---it is most noticeable when you seam the front and rear against the A and B pillars.

Re: replacement rocker quality ?

Goodmark was selling doors with the window frame 3/8" too high. They finally changed them.
