removing a/c
thinking about removing the rest of my a/c components. as in, i want to make the truck look like it didnt have a/c.
how would i go about changing the firewall box out to a non a/c setup? i figure since my interior is gutted, now would be the time to do it Last edited by ocbaud; 05-26-2007 at 01:55 AM. |

Heh, I'm about to tear my '81 apart to make a wood trailer out of it. You want me to cut out that whole section of the firewall? You could then just weld it in and it WOULD look original.....

Re: moving a/c
Talk to swervin. He made his own delete panel of some sort out of sheet aluminum, I think...
There's another guy who used a panel bonding glue and sheetmetal to smooth his over without welding, I think. I can't remember his name (Steve?), but he was considering selling his truck a while back so he could restore his Dad's Impala. He also does vinyl graphics. Someone should be able to figure out who I'm talking about from those clues... Slonaker |
