Post head# location and identification

I JUST PICKED UP A FREE PAIR OF HEADS OFF A JUNKED TRUCK AT MY BUDDIES FARM. I THINK IT MAY HAVE BEEN A 327. IT HAD A 2 BARREL INTAKE. I THINK THE TRUCKWAS A 69. ANYWAY WHICH # DO I READ TO IDENTIFY THE HEADS.(WHERE IS IT) AD CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO IDENTIFY THEM? THANK YOU. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THEY ARE WORTH HAVING WORKED OVER OR NOT. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

the casting numbers are located on the top side of the head, between the rockers.

scroll down about half way to find the head numbers.

there wil be a 6-8 digit long code beginning with 37 or 38 or 39, get that and get the date code- a group of 3-4 digits beginning with A-L letter
post it all here and/or look them up at nastyz28.com or mertec or google.com search engine, type the number in directly into search word line
