Re: Low miles 1969 C/30

I bought one like that...a '68 C30 flatbed with 63,000 miles. I could not part it or even steal the buckets out of it...it was so spotless. oldiron talked me out of it in a weak moment and now it is a show winning C30 Tilt flatbed.

Don't part it...restore it!

Re: Low miles 1969 C/30

Well,I seen the truck again today.Same spot, hasnt been moved. It has a 250 in it.The bad news is that it's starting to rust on the rockers I think another call is in order. He can keep the bed,he can keep the frame,he can keep the motor and tranny,he can keep the pto unit, driveshafts and suspension,he cant have the gauges though I just want the front clip and cab...........

He's not going to allow parts to be picked from it.It's not in the junkyard. It's down the road in town at a local repair shop where it sits.It needs a gas tank and I'm the only guy the mechanic knows that has a gas tank for it.The longer I don't sell the tank, the longer it atleast sits there not being sold,or repaired... Maybe I will out wait the owner, he will die,and I get the truck cause the mechanic will be tired of having it sit there j/k

That could backfire on you- it leaves the door open for someone else to see & make an offer on.
