I see what you mean, I'm starting to wonder if he does it on purpose to see how long it takes to show up on STLookins radar?

Thanks for the link to LonghornMan's site. Just needed to know about the frame. This thing is HUGE for a 3/4 ton! The truck has a 402,th400 rear air bags, helper springs, and sway bar! This truck is CHEVY DUTY!! I will 'TRY' to get pics today.

Re: Longhorn info?

The frame is a 1 ton frame. I am quoting Andy. I do remember him stating this on many occasions. What color is your longhorn?

Re: Longhorn info?

I'v heard too that whether it was a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton it uses a 1 ton frame.

Re: Longhorn info?

Geez...late to the party...AGAIN! Yes 3/4 or 1 ton...it will have the 1 ton frame. Hey, when you stretch that wheelbase and add a big camper...you need all the frame cross section you can get!

Re: Longhorn info?

manimal, You should have the discs up front on that one. How is the box? I wish you were closer because I have a perfect box, wood, frame, big block rearend etc. that could serve you well if needed some spares...LOL!

Re: Longhorn info?

Yes...and it is the best bed I have ever seen...very straight! Front discs and swaybar, exhaust and tranny crossmember. No motor mounts and manual steering.

I was thinking about making a trailer out of it to tow behind my Longhorn(s)!

Re: Longhorn info?

Look at that pair of sweetness, two longhorns. I would post pics of mine but this picture stuff never goes right for me.
Thanks everyone for backing me up on the frame information. Manimal gets the right info that way.

Re: Longhorn info?

I wondered why my ears were ringing all afternoon. I figured it was my Ex talkin smack.

They got you the right info, all longhorns were built on the 133 inch one ton frame. Only the springs were upgraded and the brakes for one ton use.
I just wish stllookn wasn't clear over there... My bed, while decent, isn't 1/2 the bed that sucker has... and my front drums... well... 'nuff said there.
Billy, while stllookn has 2 cool longhorns... they are also both 50th annv longhorns, and one was a big block truck.
How much do you hate him now?

Anyone else think falvarez12001's truck looks like it had air bags go off in the cab?

Re: Longhorn info?

Not now you don't...it was a classic but one of our big storms did it in! The picture does not look bad but it tore the entire lower mounting shelf, splayed it out in the rear and put a big dent in the front. The sad thing was castiron9 bought it from me about a year ago...now I really feel like I owe him a refund.

Snow and second tree came after the first hit...it just never stops...LOL!
