Factory bucket seats?

I got these out of a 72 suburban and I am pretty sure they where original because all of the upholstery matched.

Re: Factory bucket seats?

Look like the jump seats out of a van to me. The driver's side should be adjustible and those do not look like they are. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Re: Factory bucket seats?

Both seats are adjustable. They slide back and forward.

Re: Factory bucket seats?

The 67-72 seats all have the adjusting lever on the outside of the seat and not toward the center. Also the passinger seat would not be adjustible. They also do not look anything close to the stock seats that were availible to these trucks, Blazers, panels and Suburbans. WES (I don't know what they are)

Re: Factory bucket seats?

These are '72 buckets, Subs would all be the same as the trucks I believe.

Re: Factory bucket seats?

Yep, Van seats, the narrow rounded bottoms are a dead give-away. I see them all the time in the yards when I'm looking for tilt columns.

Re: Factory bucket seats?

Van seats....I'm just glad I'm not the only person getting tilt columns from vans too...They are still a tilt column that with some mods will work!

Re: Factory bucket seats?

They don't look like any GM van seats that I've seen. Not saying they aren't - just haven't seen them.

My guess would be 70's Dodge Van.

Re: Factory bucket seats?

That D7UB on the bottom makes me think Ford (under the Ford part # scheme they would be manufactured in 1977, which does seem kind of late for seats of that design...)

Re: Factory bucket seats?

Thanks for all the input guys.

Has anybody used them in one of our trucks? I am wondering how they will fit and if they would look alright.
