Going to swap a 1970 body I got from Teeitup soon!!!

Got $49.00 at the crusher today!! There was NO good sheet metal on this truck! ( I did keep the gate though, it was OK)

You didn`t scrap that mill finish slider did you?Could have sold that for what you got from the scrapper if it was in good condition.

Yep it is, I had never used it to pull before, so I thought what the heck?? I only pulled the trailer about 5 miles.

Scrap prices sure have dropped. I got $61 for as much as you took plus a frame. I was hoping for more.

Shoot, that's the easy part, now lets see you put it back together that fast!

Even though it's shot, it still kinda stings a little to take one into the crusher. My dad and I must have brought 7 or 8 or so 67-72's to the scrapyard. All of them were NY trucks. Half were missing metal up to the lower body line! One was a 72 GMC swb 4x4, it was used as a plow truck before the body started falling off Oh well.

Good luck getting her all back together, even if it's for a sale.

Are you doing a restoration and then sell or a body swap then sell?

I think I am going to paint the truck. What would you guys do, I don't really like the color, but would be easier to keep the color. Should I change the color??? How much do you think "Dark Gold" would hurt the resale??

Sold the Big Block today, It was a 396. Got $950.00 for it. Not sure if that is a good price or not??

Joe,if you want to get rid of it quick and cheap,I'd just sell it with the 70 body on it.Painting it cheaply is something to consider though.Now,you wouldnt have to go with a full on resto but fixing the little if any rust on the 70 body and painting it could make it fetch a bit more.Do you want to sink more money in it or just get it gone a.s.a.p?The way I am,I'd fix it up,re paint it,then decide to add it to the collection

So,if I plan to keep one for just a little bit.I cant keep it over a month!

The body on the 1970 is so nice and strait I almost have to paint it. It needs rockers, but thats it. I will put a new tailgate on it. Other than that I can only find one ding in it. It will not be a cheap paint job, my friend that painted my Black 1 ton will paint it, so it will be nice. ( and will be cheap for me!) Just not sure if I am going to paint it if I shouldn't change the color to something better looking?????? The dark gold might look pretty good when fresh though???
