need driveshaft length.

Well my th350 crapped out on me today so Im putting in a 700r4 tomorrow. What all do I need? my truck is a long bed with a two peice driveshaft how much do I need to shorten the driveshaft? and will the speedo cable reach or do I need a longer one?

If you are lucky, the speedo cable will be JUST long enough to reach, but I still need to get a new one, because it is under a tight pull.

The drive shaft really depends on the shop I think.
Mine was a SWB swap, so I can't tell you for sure, but my drive line shop asked that I give them the dimension from the tail seal of the transmission to the center of the rear end yoke (which is the flat half with the girdle off).

If you "schedule" getting it done, you should be able to have the drive shaft turned around in one day...I did.

Other than that I needed the fluid, and a Bowtie Overdrives TV Made EZ kit.

I already had a Lokar linkage on it, so I can't tell you anything there.
