Frame is longer,frame is different so a body lift would be needed and then it would basically look like a 4wd......New body mounts would have to be made too.

i saw a truck near where i work, looked to be a '75? someone had put a newer 4x4 frame under it . although the front end lined up right the rear axle sat about 6-8" to far back in the wheel wells (vary obvious to see). just my 2 pennies.
