Protecting your polished aluminum rims?
I cant seem to keep my rims from oxidizing and coroding with little spots. I polish all the wheels with mothers mag and aluminum polsih with a power ball and then put a coat or two of splitz wax on them but three weeks later they are spoting up agian.
I love my wheels but cant keep them looking awsome. need some help. |

Welcome to the world of polished wheels, and the exact reason all my wheels are chrome. They look good when polished, but are a ton of work to keep them looking good. Your best bet is to use a sealant of some sort, Zoop Seal for instance.

I use the Mother's aluminum polish first, then follow it up with the Mothers Billet pollish. I get that mirror finish every time. The important thing is to seal the metal pores AFTER you polish, so that dirt and soap doesn't get inot the metal. I use a product from Wizards called "POWERSEAL". There are other companies. It is a definite improvement to use the sealer.
