Re: Need opinion on a '71 4 sale on e-bay.

OK guys you're all slipping! The 5th digit of the VIN is a 9 which by the VIN decoder he posted makes it a 69 model! So now we have a new can of worms. Does his title say 69 or 71? Apparently we have a 69 with a 71/72 front bumper. Not to mention in 69 it should have been a CST and not a Cheyenne. Theres nothing wrong with a pieced together truck if all the pieces are solid (including the paperwork) . If the truck is close enough to you to go see it in person by all means go have a look. The more bad trucks you look at will make you that much more aware of that good one when it finally appears.

Please send me 10 of those $3000.00 trucks. It appears there are in abundance in your area.

Re: Need opinion on a '71 4 sale on e-bay.

I agree with SeeTen.My first gut feeling looking at it said it was yet another 69/70 that some d/a thought had to be called a Cheyenne Super to be anything.I hate that!I hate the wrong grille/bumper combo and the 71/72 badging on the fender.I`d spend money getting that straight sooner than spend a dime on any paint on a rustfree truck.I`d buy a truck with beat original paint and no rust showing over a fresh paint mix match anyday, and pay more!If it`s a true survivor,it would be awesome with CST/10 badges and 350 below it.I always liked the engine badges there anyway.Makes the frontend cleaner.Who favors a 69/70 grille over a 71/72 on a 71?I can smell snakes in the woods and I smell one here.I would love to buy that truck. But,I need an honest seller. That`s how I deal. It`s not always so obvious and I`ve been hit before. But,if you gotta stretch the truth to sell something that`s so nice and in demand.....I dunno, not me.
