Correct Spark Plug Gap
I have a 72 chevy c-10 with a 427 ci engine from a 69 impala i was wonderering if anyone possibly knows the correct gap to use on the plugs.

If you're still using the points setup .035 ...

It really depends on your ignition system. Points are around .035 and HEI is around .045. If you are running something like a multiple spark discharger....like MSD, it can be .050 to .060 and higher. A lot of it, with MSD, depends on your compression ratio. Hope this helps!!

alright i will probly go with somthin around .050 then b/c i have a msd distributor and coil.

That gap is only for the MDS multiple spark discharger!!! If you are just running the distributor and not the box, like a 6AL, that might be too much gap and it will make your ignition system work too hard. You really need to check with MSD to see what they recommend.
