Box Floor
I was thinking of putting aluminum checker plate down over my wood box floor on 56 shortbox.Anyone tried this or have better way?

you guys know of any links or threads on how to put the bed and wood stuff altogether? mine was cobbled together and i have to redo it. got all the parts and Mar-K's very simple instructions but with my gump-like skills it sure would help to see pics of somebody's going together

I think wood is the right way to go but if your on a budget I think checkerplate isn't the worst thing to use.

I remember hearing of a guy that used plywood and just grooved it and put on metal strips.I,ll have to try and post pics and get your guys input.

im using a metal box bed from a full size truck ill post pic's as i go, as for wood, the last box i assembled i started with the outside rails first, dont tighten any bolts down till the whole floor is in, this allows for adjustments to the rails for the rite fit. the costomer had the box kit, so the job came together fast and easy.
