Start Up Blues...

Having 600 trouble free miles since the install of the ZZ454, the last two mornings at cold start 80* turning over the engine has started with a large clank, kinda like a hammer smacking a pan. On the second try to start it does so normally. What's going on? any thoughts? Or do i just grab a bigger towel to wipe up my tears?

Does it sound like its coming from the top of the motor or the bottom?

your problem is deffinately here by the way you are describing it. Check starter drive, starter mounting bolts, flywheel / flexplate teeth etc......... Good Luck!!!!!!

Re: Start Up Blues...

Sounds like it's coming form the bowls of the motor? Hoping to agree with you'all, starter issue, hopefully...
