Body opening dimensions?
Where do I find the correct dimensions for door openings and such to make sure I don't have any body sag?
I've been reading up about rocker boxes & it's obvious I need to leave them on. The PO installed new rocker panels, however they were never welded to the boxes at the bottom. Driver's floor pan is also scabbed in. Took the top off a few months ago (it only had about 2 bolts holding it onto the bed rails) & the doors don't always want to open easily now. The body bushings are also trashed & virtually non-existant. All to say that each thing probably is a factor. Just want to be sure I can have it all braced up dimensionally correct before cutting & welding up so want cause any new problems.

Re: Body opening dimensions?
Factory assembly manual has most of what you need. I don't have one,
but I wish someone who did would copy all the pages to the FAQ's area.

Re: Body opening dimensions?
There's a pretty recent post showing those numbers, can't be more than a couple pages back.
RustyParts posted it IIRC. Okay, more than a couple pages back but I found it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=237373 Last edited by vtblazer; 06-11-2007 at 07:26 PM. |
