weight of my 67 snb

I have a 67 1/2t short narrow bed with a 250 six and 3 on the tree. It is all original and has a wood bed. About what does this weigh?
Thanks
Lee

Based on the book, "standard catalog of American Light-Duty Trucks, 3rd edition", your 67 swb stepside should weight around 3255. (Note the use of swb, this mean short wheel base).

Re: weight of my 67 snb

Hello,

Can you please look up the weight of a small block, automatic, 70 longbed C20? Curious as to what the book says.

Thanks,
Alex

Re: weight of my 67 snb

however, I have never seen one on the scale that light. I had a SWB 1/2 ton GMC with a small block and TH350... even with some light rims, intake, ahnd headers, it was still a porkey 4200 pounds with a 1/2 tank of petro in it.

Kelly Blue Book for 1967 shows 3280 Lbs. But remember that (and the other source above) are shipping weight figures.Add for gas, water, oil, any options such as AC,step bumper, etc. A '69 Longhorn is listed at 4066 but when I bought mine in absolute stock condition (except for the added motorcycle rack, maybe 30 lbs) I had to weigh it and it was 4680 on the scales. So you really have to weigh it if you need an accurate figure.-Brian

Re: weight of my 67 snb

Thanks for all of the information and the link provided. Interesting nonetheless. I wonder if GM weighed the trucks dry without engines. A small block is worth a good 600 lbs. Man, I need to find a scale. The shipping papers (I had the truck shipped from TX to Europe) listed the weight as being 5145lbs. They won't let you ship 'em with a full tank, not even half, has to be pretty much empty. No spare tire, has AC, no step bumpers, no idea what the coolant weight is. I guess the automatic is a bit more heavy than a 4 speed.

Thanks again,

These typically weigh around 4100-4200lbs with driver, in driving condition. You can get creative and make it weigh less or more depending on your goals.
