Not a happy camper(BDS updated)
One spring is sagging 1 inch. Will swap them tomorrow then see what that does before I make them order me some new ones. Three sets of Tuff Countrys and never had this problem. Hoping BDS will stand behind them.
I am liking the stance more and more. Steps and shocks will go on tomorrow and I will also have the tires tomorrow. The tires in the pics are 35's and I measured them out to be about 34 inches tall. |

Re: Not a happy camper
I dig the stance but I sure hope they can hook you up with a good spring for it to replace the sagging one.Your going up to 36's arent you? What kind of tires did you decide to get? I know someone that has some 39" TSLs for sale if you want big tires

Re: Not a happy camper
I ordered the 36" Mickey Thompsons. Baja Belted. They are gonna be discontinued in a few months. I believe the wheels and tires will be for sale once I get everything lined out. The truck looks worse in the pic than it really is. Onl level floor it is about 3/4 of an inch different.

Re: Not a happy camper
Thats going to look GREAT!! What kind of shocks are you going with? It will be interseting to see how it rides with the BDS compared to the Tuff Country.

Re: Not a happy camper
I have some new Pro Comps to put on it. Thanks. It's going to be a lot different since it's been the same stance since 1986.

Re: Not a happy camper
Im suprized there onot making the 36 bajas any more I had them on my 72blazer and was thinking abought puting them on the burb I guess Ill have to go to 38 or bigger now. Here are some pics to give you an idea of how it looked this is with 6in suspentoin 3body. I cant wait to see how they look on your truck. these were BDS springs as well with blocks in rear before the shakle flip and 1tons went on her. I miss this blazer it was fun.

Re: Not a happy camper
You will still be able to find the baja's for a while from what I was told. I am thinking it is the 16.5 size that is going to go away.

Re: Not a happy camper
Seeing your truck just reminds me how badly I need to get to doing something for a front bumper on my 69 K20. Your truck is looking awesome and I'm sure BDS will get you taken care of. My first set of Tuff Country springs had a bit of variation too, not that much but they were off about 1/2".

Re: Not a happy camper(BDS updated)
My '59 IH springs on the front of my '72 sit level
Jack, I got a nice painted '69 bumper if you need one. Mudder, what kind off wheels are you putting the Mickeys on? 16.5 anything seems to be going away- now that I have 16.5 turbins. I want 33's for them- so far the best deal I can find is TA all- terrains for $139. Wanted Hancook muds, they are discontinued. And the private label mud choices are within $25 a tire of TA muds

Re: Not a happy camper(BDS updated)
The 16.5's are going away. Some company's don't even offer them anymore. This is the last tire that MT is offering in a 16.5 and they are to discontinued later this year. I wll probably be trying to sell the tires and wheels once I get them on and the truck going. I will go to 16's. I am putting these on my 16.5x12 Weld Typhoons. I will proably stick with Welds even tho they are owned by American Racing now.

Re: Not a happy camper(BDS updated)
Thank you. I had forgot about that. Got home late tonight from putting steps (Carr loops) on the truck. I was already having trouble getting in before the lift. Tonight was sitting here and I had a brain interference and I am thinking I may know why or what could be holding the drivers side down. I just thought about the sway bar and thinking it could be holding that side of the frame down. I am going up there in the morning and check it out. I have not dropped the mounts of it any.
