Hey guys... I got a 79 GMC High Sierra Step Side... Bought it when I was 16 and haven't looked back! Currently Running a 350/350 combo, with DJM 3/5 Drop. Currently in the process of giving her a freshen up. Just finished installing a RCI fuel cell this weekend behind the rear axle. Next up is the cab with all new rockers, cab corners, and floors. Pretty much want to get her driveable this summer as I've kind of neglected her some the last couple years. Enjoy!

Re: New Member

Thanks for all the compliments... she needs a little work but I've got the parts and the welder... Hopefully this weekend I'll start tacking the rockers, floor pans and cab corners... Any suggestions there? Last weekend we put the fuel cell in. It's not plumbed in yet as I'm waiting for one of my racer buddies to get me a couple fittings. Can't wait to get rid of that saddle side tank. Here's a crappy pic, but you get the idea.

Sure why not? It actually isn't that bad... Get yourself a cell from RCI, I chose 16 gallon with sending unit. Street Rod Cell, then get the brackets for it. Get yourself some box tubing to fit inside the frame, weld it up, notch it and drill itfor the bolts for the cell, run your lines and your all done. Should cost ya about 250 bucks to get it done.

Re: New Member

No new pictures but a little update for today... Put all new MSD ignition components in and on the distributor. What a difference... sounds so much better now that its not loading up with fuel. Of course it was daddy's day so not much got accomplished today. Hopefully soon I'll be getting some new panels on her and the cab fixed.
