Smile Finally found the truck

Its a 1972 Cheyenne with factory AC, has a 89 blazer 350fi and a 700r tranny, I looked at it yesterday and it started right up and purred like a kitten, the paint job is really good and it has no surface rust, There is rust under the floor mats and under the bed liner but I dont think its that bad compared to other trucks. We agreed on a price of 2500.00 bucks. Is there any thing else I should check on these trucks?

Re: Finally found the truck

Sounds great to me. I purchased the one I have for 2000 and the paint was not as good as this one appears. Just be sure to check everything out mechanically. Especially wiring.

I did a frame off restoration on mine so virtually everything is new. Don't have to worry about too much that way.

I paid the same for mine. That one is in better shape than mine was when I got it. I would say get it. But that is just me....

Re: Finally found the truck

I would ask for any original parts that may be laying around, ... motor, trans air filter housing, jack, rims, original paper work. etc. alot of that stuff gets chucked after sale and is gone forever. Nice truck.

Re: Finally found the truck

Looks good from what I can see from the angle that the truck is on in the picture. I would check for rust under side of the floor .... cab mounts and cab supports. Other then this it sounds like a good truck. LOL

esll.
