What is the best way to store a block for a few months

I have a 454 on a stand that has been sitting there for over a year now, heads, intake, oil pan off. The cylinder walls are starting to rust alittle but I had to bore them out in the first place. What can I do to keep it from getting worse or atleast slow down the deterioration

Ill try to post a pic later

smear everything with a heavy coating of grease/wrap the block up in a large heavy duty garbage bag

Wouldn't a garbage bag ( plastic) cause condensation?

We just coat all the internals in oil and put a garbage bag over it. just don't close the bag all of the way, leave it open a little with it facing the bottom.
