As you can see from the picture my truck has the cab lights on top. I was wondering if anyone knew of any kind of wiring harnesses or anything I could buy to rewire them to work? Also on my gauge cluster my speedo works, and so does my fuel gauge but nothing else does...no battery, no water temp or oil pressure. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix that cause i'm a dummy when it comes to electrical anything

Check the FAQ section - there are schematics there that shows most of the wiring for the trucks. From the Home page, open the FAQs and then look for the one that is a "list" of the FAQ links compiled. You'll find the diagrams in there. Searching on here, you'll find A TON of stuff.
As for the roof lights, are you sure it's the wiring that's bad or are there fuse issues, unhooked connections, switches, etc.?? Kinda hard to help with a vague description.
The diagrams will also help you trace out what you should have and where wires should be "connected".
There is a ton of knowledge on here and without a doubt, someone will be able to point you in the right direction. Do some searches and get a little better idea of where your problem might be and then you'll have more to go on (or ask about).

The dash lighting may be a result of the bulb sockets not making contact with the circut sheet on back of the instument housing. Below is an easy to read electrical diagram. Good luck . Larry

thanks...well the cargo light in the cab isn't there and I can't seem to figure out what kind of bulb it is...the wiring in this truck is a MESS to say the least...and i don't know anything about electronics haha...i'll check that stuff out though thanks

Do the gauges themselves not work or is it the lighting for them that doesn't work? If the gauges don't work check the oil line coming from the back of the block(behind the distributor). Make sure the oil is making it up to the gauge.

For the water temp gauge, locate the wire going to the sender (usually on one of the heads, but could be on the intake manifold). Ground the wire out and see if the gauge goes all the way to hot. If it does, the sender is bad. If not, check further down the line and see if the wire is broken somewhere.

As for the battery voltage, mine is still broken also so I can't help you with that.

Cab lights should be simple. Hook all the wires together (if they are a single lead; if they have two leads pick one off of every light and ground it). Bring a wire down to the headlight switch and probe for a wire thats hot when the parking lights are on. Splice in there.

Hope this helps a little, it's kinda hard to explain electrical stuff...

The gauges themselves don't work...the lighting behind them works fine. The only thing with the cab lights I don't get is that there is wires (if you're sitting driver) where the cab bends and goes flat against the bed and they're cut...and i have no idea what they go to or where they hook up to...from the looks of the plastic thing around them they belong there but it's confusing....
