Custom tailgate for truck or Jimmy, need help/thoughts

After reading this, I got to thinking about fabbing a tailgate for my Jimmy. Has anyone else made a tailgate for their trucks? If so how about a pic or two. Also some pics of the 73-87 tailgates on the 67-72 trucks.

I dont have any pics but I seen a 71 C10 long bed parts truck the other day,it has a 73+ style tailgate on it and it looked like crap,IMO.It didnt match at all.

I've seen one too. It is one step better than nothing at all.
And even that is arguable.

i have a hand made step side tailgate, no pics yet. but iv'e been collectingfleet gates for awhile now and have some bowed ones i plan onsplitting at seam on bottom and inside on top taking the inside off straightening ,welding in some support and closing back up, if i ever get any spare time
