Witch clutch to buy

I am getting ready to purchase a new clutch kit for my truck witch is a 70 c-10 with a 250 inline 6 and 3 on the tree. I measured my old clutch disc and it is 10 inches(in total diameter). I was looking in the Summit and Jegs catalog, hoping to buy from them and the smallest size was 10.4 inches, I assume this would fit but just to be on the safe side.
thanks

Darin

Re: Witch clutch to buy

I have a 250 in my71.
The original clutch was a 10 inch.
I replaced it with a 10.4 in centerforce clutch.
No problems.

Re: Witch clutch to buy

You talking about buying a new pressure plate & everything? If not, measure your current pressure plate and make sure it will accept a 10.4" disc. My old '69 Nova 6 came with a 9-1/8" disc, but the pressure plate accepted a 10" disc. The flywheel was OK for up to 10.4", but I had to get a 10.4" pressure plate. And a different throwout bearing because the P-plate fingers were different.
