Here is my setup. I took a caddy airbox and sealed the factory opening and cut a 4" hole in the bottom. I then cut a 4" hole in my raditor support. I bought 2 90 at Lowes and 2 couplings and mounted it.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

This is probably one of the best solutions offered. Factory airboxes can be had for dirt cheap. When all the restrictions are removed they flow very well. Put in a K&N panel filter and you have a free flowing ram air box that's as attarctive as you can find.


Scoti, part of our testing included a modified stock air box vs an intake tube with a open cone filter. We found that by opening the bottom of an air box, and using a panel filter along with some aftermarket tubing to clean up the air flow track I could put as much air in my motor as the $200+ intake tubes could.

Here was the set up I built. For those weak at heart, be forwarned these are pictures of Ford motors.

Here's your common intake tube with cone filter-
