truck/car 4speed

I bought a car saginaw 4 speed last nite for my truck. It looks like i can use my 4 speed bellhousing. Are the splines in the truck 4-speed the same as the saginaw? Im hoping i dont have to buy a clutch for it.

Re: truck/car 4speed

you may want to double check the pilot bearing size. there may be a difference. but I do believe they are both the same 10 slpine 1 1/8" input.

BTW, what is a fair price for a Saginaw 4 speed? I have a customer who is in need of one for his 74 Nova SS. he drove 200 miles with no lube in it.

Put it in there it will work and fit just fine. Will have to recut the shifter hole in the floor board.

Re: truck/car 4speed

It will plug right into your 67 bell as mentioned above, but you will need to bolt & nut the bottom trans ears(the ears are threaded on the truck trans). Also, you will need to shorten & rebalance the drive shaft, & add the proper slipyolk, as the 4 spd truck trans is shorter. Best of luck, L

Re: truck/car 4speed

You could find a 3spd driveshaft/yoke from a V8 truck,also.
