Ok, this Q. may of been asked before, but here it goes....I have an Idea, but does anyone have any tips on the best way to swap out my 8 lug parts for my newly aquired 5 lug parts? I am replacing the spindles w/2.5" drop spindles and new drop springs. I've done some measuring and found that allmost all the holes match up so do I have to drill the rest, and my C-20 set up has a sway bar but the 87 frame does not ....will my existing sway bar mount up ...thanks Joe K

The 87 crossmember will bolt to the 69 frame. I think you have to drill one hole on each side IIRC. I wouldn't recommend cutting your frame and welding the 87 one in. Not sure if you had that planned or not but swapping bolts would be much easier i would think. As far as the sway bar, I think it would work. Someone else may know more about that. I'm using a 72 1/2 ton sway bar on my 68 but I don't really know if the size on the 3/4 ton is the same or not.

I have the sway bar from an 80's One ton one my 67 so the sway bar will bolt straight up after you remove one rivet either side from the frame.

I'd rebuild the suspension while it's all apart.

Thanks guys, I did unbolt the old frame and I see the ones to drill out, and I'm glad I can use the old sway bar. I have tons of pics to put up to show my progress.....thanks again Lil-Joe
